ScoutOp aka Tanmay Singh is the India's one of the most popular eSports athlete, gamer, streamer and a YouTuber.
Early Life and Introduction to Gaming:
Tanmay Singh was born in Gujarat, but he spent most of his formative years in the city of dreams, Mumbai. He was born in lower middle class family. His father was a businessman and his mother was a housewife.
Tanmay was fascinated by video games and would often spend hours on end playing them. His parents were like any other typical Indian parents. Initially they didn't supported him in gaming.
His first foray into the world of gaming came when he was just six years old. His father brought home a gaming console, and it was love at first sight for young Tanmay. He spent countless hours playing games like Contra, Mario, and Mortal Kombat, among others.
Education:
Talking about his education, he was really good at study in school. But only till 7th standard until he went to the hostel. During 7th to 10th standard, his attention shifted from study to something else, something that he got so addicted to. And it was Football.
ScoutOP's Passion for Football:
Tanmay had one more hobby. He loved playing football and he always wanted to be a professional football player. Gaming was just a hobby for him but his real passion was football. If you wanna know how much he loved playing football, then let me told you this story.
One day Tanmay wanted to go for football practice with friends. But his mother didn't allowed him and locked in a room. So he escaped from his room and went to the terrace. And then jumped from the terrace and ran away. His parents were also shocked to see such craze for Football.
Scout's father always supported him in dreams. Initially his father wanted Tanmay to join him in his business. But Tanmay didn't liked anything spoon fed to him. He always wanted to do something on his own.
Tanmay started playing football professionally. He went to national level. He was in Kolkata for professional division one team tryouts. It was one time chance and he had to prove himself there. But something unfortunate happened there.
During the tryouts, he tore his hamstrings. The moment he lost his hamstring, the first thought in his mind was “When is the next time I'm gonna be able to playing?“. And doctors told him that he needed to rest for at least 6 months. And this moment he felt like – His dream his dead here.
The Birth of ScoutOP:
Tanmay was completely broke at this point. He didn't knew what he would do without football. But then he starting thinking about possible things he can do from home without going out. And there was only one thing – Gaming, his early hobby.
Even during his college time in 11th & 12th standard, he used to go to the gaming cafe for playing games after his tuition. There he got to know little bit about eSports & gaming competitions.
There he began exploring the world of online gaming. It was then that he came across the game that would change his life forever – PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG). The battle royale game, which was gaining immense popularity worldwide, soon captivated his attention.
But he couldn't play that game as he didn't had pc & at those cafe, only CS GO 1.6 was available to play.
So scout started traveling from Daman to Mumbai via train just play PUBG pc. It had became his routine every weekend on Saturday & Sunday. It was around 2-3 hrs journey from Daman to those gaming cafe's at Mumbai.
There he made a good bonding with the cafe owner. So Scout asked him if he could stay at cafe at night during weekend. And he got the permission. So at evening they used to close the cafe shutter & play games whole night (Mainly CS GO & PUBG PC).
So after his hamstring injury, he used those 6-8 months of bed rest period for gaming and learning eSports. And once he get good at it, he decided to turn that hobby into profession. When initially he told parents about his new dream of becoming eSport athlete, they didn't supported him. Scout had already left his school for becoming a football professional. And how he had left football career and wanted to peruse his new career into gaming.
His parents were not aware of eSports and world of online gaming. So scout had to explain them everything.
Launch of PUBG Mobile:
Scout didn't had pc so he started looking for ways to play PUBG Pc on mobile. He was randomly searching online and he came across other games like Rules of Survival, etc. While playing those games one day he randomly saw one post – “PUBG PC launching on mobile”.
Once PUBG mobile was launched, he started playing that game during those bed rest period. And one day suddenly he goes onto the leaderboard in the rankings. And that's where he first got knows as “First Indian to goes into Top 100“.
During that time there were very few people's in PUBG mobile community. He got known among them. He got some international friends. They told him that there are also PUBG mobile tournaments.
And fortunately at end of that year there was one PUBG mobile tournament in India where scout participated. He got 16th rank in that PUBG MOBILE Star Challenge 2018, Asia.
On March 5th 2019, Scout joined Team Ind. There he played “PUBG MOBILE Club Open Spring Split India” and got 2nd rank. Also it was during this event he met Goldy Bhai. Scout was little upset for getting 2nd rank and was sited at one corner. Then Goldy Bhai came to him & took him to dinner.
It is one of the main reason scout have a very strong bond with Goldy Bhai. He always say – “Goldy Bhai came to me when I was no one and when I needed him the most”. Then on August 5th – Sc0utOP left Team Ind and joined Team SouL. On October 17th 202, he left Team SouL.

In 2017, Tanmay decided to create a YouTube channel to share his gameplay and tips with other gaming enthusiasts. Thus, the gamer known as Scout Op was born. The name ‘Scout‘ was derived from his love for sniping in games, while ‘Op‘ is a gaming term that stands for ‘Overpowered.'
Initially, s YouTube channel didn't gain much traction. However, he wasn't disheartened and continued to create content and improve his skills. His persistence paid off when one of his videos went viral, and his subscriber count began to skyrocket.
On 6 April 2020, ScoutOP completed 1 Million subscribers on YouTube. Same year on August 22, he completed 2 Million followers on Instagram. His growth continue to skyrocket after that. Today his YouTube channel has over 4.7 Million subscribers and has over 3.7 Million followers on Instagram.
Success & Fame:
With each passing day, his YouTube channel grew in popularity. He gained thousands of subscribers and became a well-known figure among Indian PUBG players. His exceptional gaming skills and entertaining commentary made his videos a hit among viewers.
ScoutOp's success was further propelled when he joined Team SOUL, one of India's most popular PUBG Mobile teams. Daily Routine of Tanmay Singh:
Tanmay spends most of his day playing games only. As soon as he wakes up, he takes his gaming controller and starts playing FIFA. He plays that game for around 2 hours. After that he get fresh, do brushing and bathing and then starts playing his main game – PUBG Mobile/BGMI. He gives around 6-7 hours for that game. It includes gameplay, practice, team discussion, etc.
He spends 1-2 hrs in gym. And again at night he go back to gaming after the dinner.

Scout has a beautiful tattoo on in left hand. That tattoo represents his entire journey in gaming. On top side of the tattoo you can see an iPhone with which he began his journey. Connecting to it there's PS4 controller which he bought after making money with his iPhone.
On bottom side there's mouse design dedicated to CS go. At middle there's one joystick with an eye. And on very top of his hand there's Mario design – A game that he loved since childhood. On inner side, Thor's Hammer is present which electrifies entire tattoo.

Friends and family members are the real backbone of scout. He have got constant support from all of his friends.

In his family he have his mother and father. His father is a business man. His father always wanted Tanmay to help him in his business. But Tanmay always wanted to craft his own path.

In the past, Tanmay was in open relationship with another gamer and streamer named Zara. She was from Bali – a city in Indonesia. Zara was a member of EVOS Esports. They both had been together for a while but their long distance relationship didn't last for long and they had a breakup.
